29 June, 2008

As we all know, Tibet is still under oppression and God knows what China is trying to do. Increase its territories or reduce human population. We may never know (his) intentions. Here are a number of split videos for you. Dun enjoy.

Civility

23 June, 2008

Imagine, service workers making our lives better but more often at a time or not, we took that for granted.

Take for example, the cleaners at our toilets, do we prefer to do our business at a clean or undesirable toilet?

Everyone know for sure, but we often aim all over which men knows better. It is not a difficult feat to do it properly, so let’s make sure we are civilised enough to be called humans.

A good way to save the world.

15 June, 2008

If no more factories producing unnecessary items for pleasure were to stop just for a year, everyone to take up their hoes and rakes and start cultivating all the land around them, the world would be greener, cleaner, fresher air will surround us and the earth will last at least 10 more years for every 1 year of cultivating and love. But is it possible to do that? Yes I truly believe so. But let’s look at the obstacles first.

A world filled with materialistic people who only want to consume and desire unnecessary toys and pretty stuffs are one of the strongest demand for our natural resources wasted daily. Which means that this notion of mine is pretty much better left unspoken. However, there is a Chinese saying, which says, “he will only shed tears only when he sees his own coffin.” This metaphor simply means unless there are clear signs that the earth is going to end, people will not do anything at all.

So unless you take the first step to do what is needed to be done, the rest of the world will follow suit, so why not start with you and make this world a pleasant place and avoid any more news of needless hungry on the other side of the world.

By the way, I came across an interesting article, just read it at http://www.verticalfarm.com/ , it is a good alternative on saving ourselves.

The depth of humans

8 June, 2008

For too long, we have looked outward for information, meaning in life, excitement, happiness, but we have forgotten to look inward. The immeasurable depth inside us is actually the same with the immeasurable width of the world. True enough, the outside world is endless, everything to explore and nothing worth not seeing. But the same holds true for the inside of ourselves. In order to see into the depth of ourselves, we have to individualise in stages.

Firstly, we need to understand why do we exist, and be ourselves at whatever age we are at. Be it young and living vitality and vibrantly but also old and wise and taking less risks.

Short, but lastly, we should not see death as an end, but a goal. Not wanting to live is the same as not wanting to die. A young man who does not fight and conquer has missed the best part of his youth, and an old man who does not know hoe to listen to the secrets of the brooks, as they tumble down from the peaks to the valleys, make no sense. He is a spiritual mummy who is nothing but a rigid relic of the past. He stands apart from life, mechanically repeating himself to the last triviality.
